Quick start

Writing effects

Effects can be writed inin normal mode and in firmware update mode:
- in normal mode, only selected effects are writed/updated/deleted
- when writing effects in firmware update mode, a new file system (FS) is created with the selected effects and other files (drum samples are not writed if their writibg is disabled in the program settings), the old FS is erased and a new one is written

Writing effects in normal mode is supported for: G1 Four, G1X Four, B1 Four, B1X Four, A1 Four, A1X Four, G3n, G3Xn, B3n.
Writing effects in firmware update mode is supported by all models.

Importing a list of effects from a device

Importing the effects list only works in normal mode, in firmware update mode importing the list is not possible.

Import not supported for: G1on, G1Xon, B1on, B1Xon, G1on AK, G1Xon K.
Simple import of effects list is supported for MS 50G, MS 60B, MS 70CDR.
Other models support full import of effects list

A simple import only reads the list of effects that are on the device, while a full import also reads the version and size of the effects file, checking for a new version and a smaller size version.

WARNING! A full import removes effects which are not in FLST_SEQ.ZT2 (the file containing the device's effects list), as well as unknown effects, the remaining files are left unchanged. If the device has effects that are not available in the program, you must first add them through "Settings" - "Read effects from folder". You can view the current list of effects available in the program here.

Working with the program

The elements and controls and their purpose can be seen in post.

When connecting a pedal in normal mode, the import of the effects list is automatically launched (if this model supports import). The selection of effects is done with the left mouse button.
You need to select which effects will be removed and writed and press the write button.

The effects list may be in extended mode if a full effects list import was performed, in other cases (the device is not connected or a simple import was performed), the effects list will be in simple mode.

In extended mode, the effect can be in 5 states::

1. The effect is marked for update, there is a newer version and/or a smaller effect file available. The new version and/or file size is highlighted. You can view the file version and size on your device by hovering your mouse over the file version/size and waiting a few seconds. You can skip the update by clicking on the version or size (the text will be crossed out)
2. The effect is marked for writing
3. The effect is in the device
4. The effect is marked for deletion
5. The effect is not present in the device and will not be added

In simple mode, effects can be in 2 states:

1. The effect is selected
2. The effect is not selected
This list can be saved to a file or written to the device in firmware update mode.

When working with effects, you can use group action buttons, in this case, processing of blocked effects is skipped:

You can also filter the list of effects by type and by presence in models. The "Select All" and "Unselect All" buttons process all visible effects, except those that are locked.:
